CodeMD is designed with privacy as a core principle. The application does not collect any personal data about you.
The following information is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to us or any third party:
Since we do not collect any personal information, there is nothing to use, process, or analyze. All locally stored data is used solely to provide core app functionality, specifically:
CodeMD requests storage permission only to read Markdown files you explicitly choose to open. The app does not scan, index, or access any files beyond the ones you select.
When you use the "Save to Local Storage" feature, the file is written to a location you choose via the system file picker. CodeMD does not retain a copy in any app-controlled location.
CodeMD requests internet permission only for the following user-initiated actions:
No network requests are made in the background, and no data about you is sent to any server.
CodeMD does not integrate any analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs. The open-source libraries used by the app (such as Coil for image loading) operate entirely on your device and do not independently collect personal data.
All data is retained locally until you clear the app data or uninstall the app. You can also delete individual recent document entries by swiping left on them from the home screen.
CodeMD does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13 (or applicable age in your jurisdiction). Since no personal data is collected by the app at all, it is safe for use by people of any age.
If we ever update this Privacy Policy, the new version will be published at codemd.zaki.my.id/privacy-policy.html with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of the page.
